Since 1977, Clinica Family Health Services has provided a full spectrum of health care to the low-income, uninsured people living in western Adams County, Broomfield County and the southern half of Boulder County. This includes well visits for people of all ages, preventive care, minor surgical procedures, health education, behavioral health care, case management services, obstetrics, in-hospital care, access to a full-service pharmacy and dental care. Our patients are the working poor of this country: •82% of our patients live in a household where at least one adult works full time, but their jobs are usually low-paying and come with no benefits.
•66% of our patients are women of childbearing age and children under the age of 18. •97% of our patients are living at or below 200% of the federal poverty level ($46,100 annually for a family of four). •46% are completely uninsured. •42% rely on Medicaid. We do not want income to be a barrier to receiving care, so Clinica offers patients a sliding fee schedule based on the individual's income. We also accept public payment programs such as Medicaid and Medicare, which are frequently not accepted by private practitioners.
