About The Container Store
The first location of The Container Store opened in 1978 to much fanfare. Some said, “A store that sells empty boxes?” But the little, 1,600-square-foot store in Dallas ended up being much more than that. It was a store devoted to helping people simplify their lives. It was the first of its kind — originating the storage and organization category of retailing.
